Working from the Context Menu
Open the context menu
Right-click (or Control-click) any file in the center grid.
The menu adapts slightly: options like Open Preview and Open Color Picker appear only for image files.
Actions for images
| Menu item | What it does |
|---|---|
| Open Preview | Opens the photo viewer window |
| Open Color Picker | Opens the color sampling tool |
| Copy Image | Copies image content to clipboard |
| Copy Image Path | Copies the file’s path as text |
| Rename | Renames the file on disk (see warning below) |
| Show Properties | Opens the File Properties summary window |
| Move to Trash | Deletes the file from your computer |
| Reveal in Finder | Opens Finder with the file highlighted |
Rename warning
Renaming changes the actual filename on disk, not just a label inside LunaFinder. A warning in the rename dialog reminds you of this. Choose names carefully so links and companion keyword files stay paired with the correct image.
Delete warning
Move to Trash removes the file from your Mac (to the Trash), not only from the LunaFinder view. Confirm only when you intend to delete the original.
Reveal in Finder
Use this when you need to:
- Copy the file manually to another drive
- Open it in another application
- Check which disk or sync folder it lives in
