File Properties Window

Open File Properties

With one file selected (image or other file in the grid):

  • Press ⌘ I, or
  • Right-click the file → Show Properties

A File Properties window opens.

What the window shows

Thumbnail and identity

  • A thumbnail when available
  • Filename
  • Full path on your Mac

Image information

For photos:

  • Dimensions in pixels (width × height)
  • File size in a human-readable format

Keywords

If the image has LunaFinder keywords, they appear as a comma-separated list in a Keywords section.

Closing the window

Click Close or press Esc.

When to use this window

  • Quickly confirm the file path before sharing or backing up
  • Check resolution before sending to a client
  • Read keywords without scrolling the side panel

For editing keywords, use the Properties tab on the right instead—the File Properties window does not add or remove tags.
