Grid and List Views
Two view modes
In the top-right corner of the main window, LunaFinder offers:
- Grid view — thumbnails in a responsive grid (good for visual scanning)
- List view — a denser row layout with name, size, and date (good for long filenames or sorting by eye)
Click the grid or list icon to switch. The active mode is highlighted.
Your choice is remembered while you use the app.
What you see in each view
Grid view
- Large thumbnails for images
- Folder icons for directories
- File name under each thumbnail
List view
- Smaller thumbnail or icon on the left
- File name, file size, and date in each row
Both views support the same actions: selection, double-click to open, right-click menu, and drag-to-select.

Thumbnails still loading
If a thumbnail is not ready yet, you may see a generic image placeholder until generation finishes. A notification may appear while thumbnails are being created for a large folder.
