Activity Log
What the activity log is for
LunaFinder keeps log files inside your opened library’s hidden project area. These logs record what the app did internally—useful when something fails repeatedly or support asks for details.
Most everyday users never need the log. It is there for troubleshooting.
Open the log viewer
- Open Folder so a library is active.
- Open Settings.
- Expand Activity Log (disabled until a folder is selected).
Browse log files
The Log Files list shows:
- File name
- Size in kilobytes
- Date last modified
Click Refresh to reload the list from disk.
Click a file row to expand it and load its contents.
Reading log content
The viewer shows:
- How many lines are displayed versus total lines in the file
- Formatted file size
- Scrollable log lines
If the file is long, click Load More to fetch additional lines.
Empty or error states
| State | Meaning |
|---|---|
| No log files found | No logs yet for this library |
| Failed to load log files | Could not read the log directory |
| Failed to load log content | Could not read the selected file |
Sharing logs with support
If support requests a log:
- Reproduce the issue once.
- Open the newest log file in Activity Log.
- Follow instructions on lunafinder.com/bug for how to send details.
Avoid sharing logs publicly—they may contain file paths from your Mac.
